Lil' Einsteins Pumped Up Nameplate
Spring 2019

As an intro project in GEEN 1400: First Year Engineering Projects, our team was tasked with creating a nameplate to hang on our project locker. After deciding on our name, "Lil' Einsteins" we created a laser cut Einstein head with a spinning 3D printed lightbulb and LEDs controlled by an Arduino.

Modular Mini: Customizable Toy Car
Spring 2019

As our semester design project in GEEN 1400: First Year Engineering Projects, my team chose to create a modular, battery powered toy car complete with interchangeable 3D printed body pieces and an interchangeable laser cut track. Our final product was presented at the Engineering Plus Design Expo and was awarded "Best in Section".

Sensation Station: Musical Coordination Game
Fall 2019

As our semester project for GEEN 2400: Engineering Projects for the Community, my team worked with an Occupational Therapist at Boulder Community Health to create a game that would improve rhythm, coordination, and reaction time. Out product is controlled by an Arduino and is currently being used by Dr. Stefani Ruben at BCH in Erie, Colorado. Sensation Station was presented at the Engineering Plus Design Expo. "Sandy" the Truss
Fall 2019

As our final project for GEEN 2851: Statics for Engineers, my team was tasked with building a truss, no larger than 7" by 23" that could support a force of 1,200 pounds that had the highest possible strength to weight ratio. We used software to design our truss and run calculations, and tested it using a four point bending test. "Sandy" was able to support a force of 1,963 pounds before experiencing a shear failure, and had the highest strength to weight ratio in our course section. Follow the link below to read the full report.

KoCovers: Customizable Prosthetics Covers
Fall 2020

As our semester project for GEEN 3400: Invention and Innovation, my team designed an affordable, customizable, and aesthetically pleasing prosthetic cover for adolescents. In addition to creating the product, this course taught us the logistics of founding a start-up company by creating our own theoretical company. The KoCover, as well as a detailed business and marketing plan, was presented at the virtual Engineering Design Expo in November of 2020.

Fluid Mechanics Final Project:
The Fluid Dynamic Properties of Rip Currents
Fall 2020

As the final project for MCEN 3021: Fluid Mechanics, my partner and I chose to curate a research paper detailing the fluid dynamic properties of rip currents, and the implications of these as they pertain to beachgoers. Read the paper by following the link below.

3D Printed Solution to Carbon Dioxide Leaks in Laparoscopic Surgery
Spring 2021

During my semester abroad in Ireland, I was given the opportunity to complete research under Dr. Kevin Nolan regarding potential harmful carbon dioxide leaks that occur during laparoscopic surgery. Read the paper and view the poster below.
